Introduction

 

Zeolite H-ZSM-5 catalyst is the proton-type (H-type) molecular sieve of ZSM-5, it also has a MFI structure. The AlO₄⁻ units in the H-ZSM-5 framework are balanced by H⁺ charges, thereby forming Brønsted acid centers (Si–OH–Al) within the lattice, which is the source of its catalytic activity. Almost all acid-catalyzed reactions depend on H-ZSM-5 zeolite.

Structural Advantage

H-ZSM-5 has a mesoporous MFI structure, thus exhibiting extremely high shape selectivity; its interconnected three-dimensional channels enables more balanced diffusion of the reactants.

 

Acid Efficiency

The acid source of H-ZSM-5 is mainly Brønsted acid, which has high catalytic efficiency; and the second is Lewis acid, which promotes auxiliary reactions.

 

Hydrothermal Stability
H-ZSM-5 has excellent hydrothermal stability, strong resistance to carbon buildup, which are highly valued in industrial practices.
